DAVID ALEX MILLER / IMPROV INSTRUCTOR"During the prosperous years of Ronald Reagan’s administration, indentured scientists attempted to create an exact bio-engineered replica of the Illinois born Performer/President to preserve national morale, and create a unified Monarchy with an invariable figurehead/leader. The testing failed but the artificial infant was placed in the care of a pair of pharmacists from Illinois, and raised to adulthood. He left IL at 23 to pursue some half-baked idealistic dream of stardom much like the man from which he was created. David Alex, or Dalex, now lives, and teaches improvisational theatre in the Valley every Monday night. Join his force of revolutionary improvisers. JOHN CORRIGAN / IMPROV INSTRUCTOR
Sold to a band of travelling gypsies at the age of 3, John Corrigan spent most of his childhood and adolescence as a street urchin, forced into a life of thievery and scavenging for survival. Under threat of severe beatings from his cruel gypsy masters, John was often coerced into performing scenes or acting out humorous anecdotes in public places for coins and other trinkets, which his masters confiscated to fund their raging opium addictions. Thus his affiliation with improv comedy was born. Now, John performs improv with Monkey Butler, a supportive and benevolent community that allows him to utilize his craft for pure enjoyment and without fear of physical harm, though he does still appreciate the occasional trinket. |
